The Tory-Liberal Coalition are determined to carry out the worst attack on working class living standards for generations. They got off to a flying start in 2013, announcing big attacks on teachers’ pay and conditions, and cutting benefits by almost £4 billion a year.
We need to Unite the Resistance against the politicians determined to cut jobs and wages, destroy the welfare state, sell off the NHS, privatise our schools. We need to turn the call for a general strike against austerity into action.
On Saturday 13th April Unite the Resistance will host a regional conference where trade unionists, anti-cuts activists and community campaigners from across the Northwest can come to discuss how we build the fightback against austerity in our workplaces and communities. Come along to debate and discuss how we move the fight forward. Let’s Unite the Resistance against austerity.
