Solidarity with Unite members at Tottenham Court Road Crossrail site

Around 60 workers on the Tottenham Court Road site of the Crossrail project refused to work (“cabined up”) on Wednesday 28 November over the transfer of elected steward, Terry Wilson, to a different site. On Friday morning they picketed outside the job and again on Monday.

There will be a further picket on the Tottenham Court Road Crossrail site on Tuesday morning 6 December from 6.30am. The site is on Sutton Row, off Soho Square.

crossrail-picketCrown House Technologies have refused to even speak to Terry since his election as steward.

The protests at Tottenham Court Road follow protests of up to 200 at Crossrail’s headquarters demanding a second tier payment (bonus) on the project. Protesters occupied Crown House Technolgies/ Laing O’Rourke’s Crossrail offices on Oxford Street.

The workers at Tottenham Court Road are not being paid – therefore, solidarity is crucial.
