GMB members at the distribution arm of the Arcadia empire locked in fierce struggle for a living wage
Disgraced Topshop supremo Sir Philip Green is set for a turbulent run up to Christmas as GMB workers vote for fresh industrial action.
Staff at Spectrum for Arcadia, a division of the DHL Logistics Supply Chain, will walk out tomorrow (December 8) and again on Monday.
The move is likely to throw Arcadia’s festive deliveries from Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Burton Men’s Wear into chaos.
The knight of the realm recently faced calls from MPs to seize his £100million luxury yacht to plug a gaping pension’s black hole in his former company BHS.
It follows unanimous vote by MPs to strip Green of his knighthood.
GMB members staged an initial strike on Cyber Monday in support of a pay claim for a Real Living Wage – currently set at £8.45 by the Living Wage Foundation.
Since then, Arcadia has made no effort to contact workers.
