Uber driver James Farrar to join speakers at “Building Fighting Unions…” conference this Saturday 12 November

9 November 2016

James Farrar, a driver for Uber taxis, was one of two workers on behalf of a group of 19, who supported by the GMB union, brought a succesful legal case against Uber.

They were demanding that Uber drivers be recognised as ‘workers’. Brilliantly they won the case. It is a landmark ruling for these workers and their unions – in the context of how our unions respond to the so-called gig-economy

James Farrar will be joining the speakers in the opening plenary at this Saturday’s “Building Fighting Unions…” conference. View the full timetable here Book your ticket here

James is a member of UPHD (United Private Hire Drivers)
