Support “Grey listing” (boycott) of London Met, no job cuts, reinstate victimised UCU reps David Hardman and Mark Campbell

UCU’s Higher Education Committee agreed on Friday to the public ‘censure’ of London Metropolitan University and actions moving towards a full international academic boycott.

London Met UCU’s request to initiate ‘greylisting’ of London Metropolitan University was passed “unanimously”.

The HEC agreed to formally ‘censure’ London Metropolitan University, with a view to initiating a full international academic boycott if the university’s management do not respond in a positive way to the demands of the union.

These demands include the reinstatement of the two victimised local UCU reps, Mark Campbell and David Hardman, abandonment of increased casualisation, suspension of the current round of mass redundancies and engaging in meaningful consultation over these and related matters. London Met UCU is calling on other trade unionists to support a “pledge” backing the action. Sign the pledge here
