Living Staff Living Wage launch night, Saturday 6 February.

15 January 2016

Activists behind the Ritzy Living Wage campaign are to launch a not-for-profit organisation to share their experiences of campaigning to help other low paid workers. Living Wage Living Staff will launch on 6 February at the DIY Space for London.

The group has issued the following statement:

Following the success of the Ritzy Living Wage campaign and strike, six of us have formed a not-for-profit campaigning organisation called Living Staff Living Wage with the support of our colleagues at the Ritzy.

Come and join us for our official launch event and fundraiser at the DIY Space for London.

Live music

There’ll be live music from Peluché, Severed Limb and more.

We’ll also have drinks and food aplenty, our strike t-shirts will be on sale, you can print your own ‘Living Staff Living Wage’ tote.

Entry is just £8 or £6 for low paid/unwaged.

Fighting for decent jobs

All proceeds from the evening will go towards our campaign to empower working people to unionise and fight for decent jobs and pay and conditions. Run as a workers’ cooperative, we aim to spread our unique experience and tactics, help new groups of workers emulate our success and gain the confidence to make use of their own skills and talents to fight for a decent future.
