PCS members at the National Gallery began their second five day strike, against privatisation of two-thirds of the staff on Sunday 22 February. On Sunday the strikers leafleted thousands of people attending the Chinese New Year celebrations in Trafalgar Square.

DPAC day of action vs. Maximus, Monday 2 March
Disabled People Against the Cuts is organising a day of action on 2 March against Maximus, the private firm brought in to replace the discredited Atos to run the government’s punitive Work Capability Assessment regime.
There are currently protests organised or planned in: Aberdeen, Bournemouth, Bradford, Brighton, Cardiff, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Ipswich, Leeds, Leicester, Lincoln, Manchester, Norwich, Plymouth, Sheffield, Sunderland, Truro, Wrexham. Fast Food Rights planning meeting:
Wednesday 4 March, 6pm -8pm, Portcullis House, Parliament, Room T
The meeting will discuss plans for the 15 April global day of action, when fast food workers and other low paid workers across the US will see their biggest strike yet, and fast food strikes/ protests will be coordinated in countries right across the world.
