Back the NHS strikes this Monday 13 October

On Monday 13 October hundreds of thousands of NHS workers across Unison, Unite, GMB, RCM and SOR will strike from 7am to 11am in a battle against the Tories’ insulting 1 percent pay offer–and their announcement that many health workers won’t even get the measly 1 percent.

Further Education colleges to strike on Tuesday 14 October

UCU members in Further Education colleges across the country are set to strike this Tuesday over pay


Civil Service Workers set to strike this Wednesday 15 October

PCS members will be taking part in a 24 hour strike on Wednesday 15th October, joining hundreds of thousands of other public sector workers in a week of action that will culminate in the TUC demonstration in London & Glasgow on the 18th October.

Seven day strike at St Mungos Broadway, beginning Friday 17 October

Unite members at St Mungos Broadway (from the Unite Housing Workers Branch) will be taking seven days of strike action in defence of their housing association, staff terms and conditions, and union rights, all of which have come under a sudden and vicious attack following a merger. Over 95% of respondents voted to take strike action on a turnout of almost 70%.

Garston Call Centre strike 13-17 October

Around 150 PCS members based in Garston Call Centre in South Liverpool are to strike for five days from 13-17 October in the fight to keep the site open. This follows two well supported one day strikes in May and June of this year.
