UCU members in the pre-92 universities are set to start a marking boycott in defence of their pensions. The action is set to start on 6 November.

York university management have responded by threatening a 100 percent pay docking. The petition below has come from Mark Taylor-Batty President of Leeds UCU. Please sign and get the petition around and about.

Dear all,

In solidarity with members at the University of York, who yesterday were threatened with a 100% pay dock, I invite you to fill in and disseminate this petition:

Of course, we might all expect this threat to come our way soon, so an opportunity to express widespread outrage at the first sign could be important.

We need now to know if this intervention means we now start planning for strike action.

Mark Taylor-Batty

President, UCU, University of Leeds
