Paul Holmes a Unison National NEC member for local government and branch secretary of Kirklees Unison (personal capacity) is set to chair an extra workshop at the Unite the Resistance conference entitled:
“Local government: Where next on NJC pay? How do we build a fighting union?”
There has been a major campaign by activists across Unison to reject the revised NJC pay proposals. Tens of thousands of local government workers want to see the strikes back on.
With the result of the consultation out on 14 November, the day before the Unite the Resistance conference, the workshop will give activists the chance to come together and talk through the next steps.
The workshop is from 2-3.15pm.
