Hundreds of London bus workers marched through London today (Thursday 11 September) demanding central negotiations across the capitals operators on pay. At present drivers doing the same job receive different rates across and within companies.
Drivers are demanding “one rate for the job” and fair pay. How are they going to get it “strike, strike, strike” came the reply on today’s march.
Unite’s Len McCluskey pledged that the union was 100% behind the fight. Strikes in 2012 that won an Olympic bonus showed the power of co-ordinated action across the capital
