The richest 100 people in Britain have seen their wealth increase by 50% inthe last 5 years. So much for “We’re all in it together”.
At the same time our public services have been hit by massive cuts and one quarter of public spending now goes into the hands of private business.
Meanwhile real wages have fallen by more than 10% for millions of workers and pension rights have come under attack.
It’s time to say enough. That’s why over 1 million public sector workers are balloting for action in local Government, NHS and the civil service across UNISON, UNITE, GMB and PCS unions.
We need this action to be taken jointly with teachers, firefighters and others currently engaged in disputes. We must build the support and pressure for this action plus look to extend it beyond a one-off one day strike.
The recent strikes by firefighters, tube workers and teachers have shown that
the public will support us.
Come along to support the calls for stronger action and build the unity
that can win.
