West Midlands solidarity with the teachers strike Public Meeting 19th March

7 March 2014

The National Union of Teachers has called a national strike on Wednesday 26 March brum teachers strikeas part of its campaign over pay, conditions and pensions. Teachers have been at the forefront of the Tories campaign against ordinary working people, facing attacks on pay, pensions and conditions as well as the growing threat of privatisation via free schools and academies. Education itself is threatened by Gove’s changes to the curriculum and assessment. This is a strike against Gove and the Tories to defend workers and generations of children to come. Let’s link the struggles against austerity and privatisation by coming together in solidarity to defend education.
