The 1984-85 Miners’ Strike convulsed Britain. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher called the strikers and their families, ‘The Enemy Within’. Millions of people across the country reacted by creating a solidarity network that sustained the strike for a year.
This day-long event brings together film, long lost archive, drama, music and debate, to look back at a defining event in British history and at the strike’s relevance today.
