Justice for mark harding at the court

Over 50 supporters gathered at Hammersmith tube station this morning (Tuesday 25 February) and marched round to the Hammersmith Magistrates Court in solidarity with Mark Harding, the branch secretary of the RMT Hammersmith and City branch, who was arrested on a picket line during the London Underground strike earlier this month for carrying out legitimate union duties on the picket line.

The majority there were tube workers in the RMT from branches across London

RMT assistant general secretary Steve Hedley spoke to supporters outside the court, stressing that there can’t be any settlement of the dispute on London Underground until this attempt to victimise Mark Harding were dropped.

Mark will be up in court for a full hearing on 23 May at City of London Magistrates Court. Rush messages of support to hammersmithandcity@rmt.org.uk
