On 22 of Feb the Fast Food Rights campaign http://fastfoodrights.wordpress.com/, initiated by the BFAWU bakers’ union, John McDonnell MP and Unite the Resistance and supported by the National Shop Stewards Network, Youth Fight for Jobs and Disabled People Against Cuts, is holding a day of action in Glasgow to kick start the campaign locally.
The day of action on 22 Feb follows a successful national day of action that saw Fast Food Rights protests in London, Sheffield, Leeds, Wigan, Birmingham, Brighton and Cardiff the previous week on 15 Feb.
In Glasgow, Youth Fight For Jobs, the Bakers Union (BFAWU) and Unite the Resistance in Scotland are calling on people to join them on the day outside McDonald’s and Sports Direct on Sauchiehall Street at 12 noon.
There will be an organising meeting on Wed 19 Feb at the Unison office on Bell Street, Glasgow at 5.30pm.
