Below is a photo of the residential workers picket of the night shift of an Elderly Home in Glasgow’s East End in their second 48 hour walkout. A rally is being held outside the council offices today (Tuesday 28 January). A mass meeting later this afternoon will decide the next steps.
Glasgow residential care workers who are fighting back at the council’s attacks which would mean new job roles, longer shift patterns and a £1,495 a year pay cut.
An angry mass meeting last week agreed further strikes.
Their current 48 hour strike began on the evening of Sunday 26 January.
