Construction workers descended on the Power Station to protest about the failure of Bosses to engage workers under Blue Book agreements. The protest was called by Unite Rank and File activists and were supported by GMB members. Over 200 protesters blocked 2 gates for 4 hours. Allowing a few vehicles in while negotiations took place between Union Officials alongside unemployed construction workers. Talks ended with a promise to look at the grievances and for the employers to reply to the complaints about lack of apprenticeships and the need to keep to the blue book agreements. The end of November will see further discussions and maybe further protests if the bosses fail to reach agreement.
