March and rally to back Hovis strikers, Saturday 14 September

A solidarity march and rally is being organised this Saturday in Wigan to back the hundreds of BFAWU members striking against agency work. The strikers have already won full time contracts for all 24 workers who were on zero hours contracts.

The workers second week of strike action started on Wednesday 11 September.

Assemble 1pm near  Weatherspoons (Moon under Water) Market Place, Wigan.

March  1:30pm to Whelley Labour Club Northumberland Street, Whelley, Wigan.

Public Meeting 2:30pm

Speakers: Lisa Nandy MP, Ronnie Draper General Secretary BFAWU, Ameen Hadi UtR, Neil Turner  Ex Wigan MP, Steve Hall, Terry Abbott Wigan Trades council. Chaired by: Ian Hodson BFAWU National President.

The strike has a 24 hour picket until next Tuesday so please go down and show your support.
