London Overground guards strike leads the way in taking on TfL cuts

22 August 2013

London Overground guards in RMT have returned an overwhelmingly vote for strikes and action short of a strike.

This comes after the announcement by Transport for London (TfL) of plans to introduce Driver Only Operation (DOO) on the whole of the London Overground network.

The RMT guards will now strike for 48 hours over the coming Bank Holiday weekend. They will also be operating a work to rule.

Their strike will take place between 00:01 on Sunday 25 August and 23:59 on Monday 26 August.
