Brighton bin workers from the Hollingdean depot who had occupied against pay cuts of up to £4000 joined PCS members in a solidarity protest at Brighton job centre this lunchtime. Up to 20 vehicles from the depot held a drive past at the job centre and workers from the PCS and the RMT joined GMB members in celebrating this weeks action.
The bin workers unofficial action has been an inspiration to everyone in Brighton and across the country who wants to see resistance to the cuts and wants to take on the anti union laws. GMB members are now moving to an official action ballot. Send messages of support to firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com and follow events on twitter at @gmbcityclean
