Up to 1,000 lawyers and legal workers joined demos at parliament and a rally at Friends Meeting House in London today. The protests were against the governments attacks on legal aid. There were hundreds on protests in Manchester yesterday too.
If the Tories get away with their plans, people will have to put up with any representation they are given from the private firm that delivers it most cheaply. Top of the list are Tesco, the Co-op and Eddie Stobart. Even G4S is in the running!
The government is clearly set to change things so that there really is one law for the rich and another one for the poor.
