PCS members at the British Library are on strike today as part of the national campaign over pay, job cuts, pensions and attacks on terms and conditions.
Strikers are particularly highlighting the problem of low pay that exists in the culture sector.
The strike is being held today to coincide with the launch of the new British Library exhibition: ‘Propaganda: Power and Persuasion’.
PCS reports, “The limit for book requests has been halved and the library has tweeted that it will not be able to transfer books between rooms.”
A protest is being held at 4pm today, Thursday 16 May, at the British Library on Euston Road to protest as people turn up to the launch party.
