Argos workers have begun a four-day strike to defend their final salary pension scheme.
The members of the Unite trade union have picketed Argos distribution centres in Heywood, near Oldham, Leicestershire’s Magna Park, Bridgewater in Somerset and Castleford, West Yorkshire on Wednesday 19 September and are set to continue for three more days.
Argos wants to cut the pension scheme by moving from a final salary scheme to one based on profits – a move that would take thousands of pounds from the workers.
Please send messages of support to the Argos strikers via their union rep.
