15 July 2012
An open planning meeting to discuss November’s Unite the Resistance conference will be held in central London on Saturday 21 July.
Last year’s Unite the Reistance convention brought together 1,200 trade unionists and activists shortly before the huge 30 November public sector strike.
This year’s conference – set for Saturday 17 November – will take place in the aftermath of the TUC’s demo against austerity on 20 October and at a time when further strike action over pensions, pay and jobs will be on the cards.
We are hoping this year’s conference will again bring large numbers of trade unionists together for a serious and fraternal discussion of how we take the fight against austerity forwards.
If you would like to get involved in planning and organising the conference, please come along to the planning meeting.
