Convention arrangements: travel, banners, food, tickets…

17 November 2011

We are looking forward to a great Unite the Resistance convention on Saturday 19 November, with more than 1,000 trade unionists and activists signed up.

Tickets
Tickets at the advance price of £5/£2 can be purchased online up until Friday night, 18 November. If you have paid in advance and your ticket has not arrived by post, you can collect one at registration.

Tickets will also be on sale on the door, priced £10/£4.

Travel
The venue is near the Victoria main line rail station. Nearest London Underground stations are Victoria, St James’s Park and Westminster.

Please note that due to London Underground engineering work, the whole Victoria line is closed on Saturday. Use the District or Circle lines to Victoria or St James’s Park. The Jubilee line also stops at Westminster.

Banners
Please bring your trade union branch or campaign banners to display in the conference halls.

Venue
The convention will be held at:
Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre, 80 Vincent Square, Westminster, London SW1P 2PE >> see map

Registration is open from 10am. The convention starts at 11am and closes at 5pm.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. We have reserved the front two rows of seats in the main hall for wheelchair users, people with hearing difficulties and those accompanying them.

There will be a number of campaign stalls and a bookshop at the back of the hall. We will also have a Unite the Resistance stall, with badges, copies of the bulletin we have produced – and our special N30 strike T-shirts.

Food
There is a canteen at the venue, which will be open from 9am to 5pm, selling tea, coffee, soft drinks, sandwiches and snacks.
